Sidy Kante - A Violent Offender, Thief, Aspiring Con-Artist, Alcoholic, Gambling Addict, Loiterer, and Drug Dealer from Brooklyn, NY and Waltham, MA

1. Assault & Battery against University Peers

Description: In this short clip from the mid-October of 2021, Sidy a nonobservant cultural Muslim lifts up and slams down on the ground forcefully a student adorned in the quintessential Jewish religious garb of a Yarmulke, Yamaka or Kippah as it is officially referred to in Judaism. This assault transpired in the lounge of Shapiro Residence hall at Massel quad of Brandeis University. Mr. Kante was ostensibly intoxicated from both alcohol consumption and marijuana inhalation at the time of this incident. Thus, it is unknown whether Sidy is antisemitic or simply a violent alcoholic and drug addict.

2. Solicitation and Harassment of Numerous Peers to Obtain Loans under False Claims of Duress

Mr. Sidy Kante resides in a known section 8 apartment located within the Spring Creek towers housing projects in Brooklyn, NY. He arrived in the U.S. not long ago from Mali in west sub-Saharan Africa. Sidy and his family receive many other benefits beyond subsidized or free housing, including but certainly not limited to Medicaid, SNAP, TANF and social security. Sidy is also in his 3rd year as a senior at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA after taking an academic leave of absence and being on academic probation for many semesters, where he receives free tuition, and has received free housing and university meal plan, and stipends from the university itself due to his family’s lack of income.

Sidy conveyed to his peers from the Brandeis chapter of the fraternity ZBT and even acquaintances from Brandeis he had ceased contact with that he required a loan due to housing, tuition and food insecurity. He has repeatedly demanded loans from numerous friends, family and acquaintances over the past few years under false pretenses and never repays them. In reality, his peers report that he uses these funds he bilks from friends, family or anyone who trusts him to procure illict substances or hard drugs and engage in sports gambling.

Sidy signed a promissory note for one such loan with an old acquaintance from Brandeis who he harassed with numerous texts over a two year period. Sidy has obviously since defaulted on the loan per the terms of the promissory note he signed and returned over text after missing the first two payments. Sidy’s absence is expected at the impending small claims court arraignment concerning this matter despite receiving SMS and mailed notices.

Sidy threatened the issuer of this loan with violence upon being informed of the likely consequences of a default and is known to have acted violently in the past as stated earlier. Sidy is subject to a criminal complaint and potentially imminent criminal charges for this threat and his past assaultive behavior towards others.

3. Public Intoxication; Illicit Drug Use and Distribution

Sidy abuses substances such as marijuana and alcohol weekly and sometimes even on a daily basis. He is known to frequently promenade the Brandeis campus and town of Waltham whilst intoxicated by liquor and or substances. He typically rests in public areas such as playgrounds or parks while dazed in a drunken and or “high” stupor exposing others to his indecency. As an underclassman, he regularly slept in common areas on couches from 5:00 am to noon after nights of significant substance use. Sidy has also expressed an affinity for psilocybin mushrooms among other substances and has sold them to peers through the Brandeis chapter of the fraternity ZBT.
